
Dr. Sheikha Tschand grew up in the Washington D.C. suburbs and holds her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. She completed her General Practice Residency at St. Vincent Charity Hospital and holds a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, a highly prestigious achievement that requires mastering the field of General Dentistry.
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Tschand has made it her mission to bridge the access to care gap by providing Teledentistry services to patients across California, Arizona, Virginia, and Maryland.
Teledentistry has allowed many patients who otherwise would have sought an overcrowded Emergency Room during a global pandemic to access world class Dental health services at their fingertips. Dr. Tschand remains an active Teledentistry provider while raising awareness for the field of Teledentistry as an active board member for the Virginia Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Tschand has been a visionary since her early academic career and was selected to personally meet the US Secretary of Interior on Emerging Topics.
Dr. Tschand resides in the Washington DC suburbs with her husband, children and 10 year old chocolate lab. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga and baking cookies with her children
