Android Engineer

We are a startup tech company based in Dublin and New York. We design and develop the world’s first teledental app that allows you to get a dental checkup through your smartphone! We are looking for an Android engineer to lead our Android development efforts and to join our Dublin office. The Role

 

As a Mobile Android Engineer, you will:

  • Lead design and development of Android architecture and applications of our products consistent with our brand values and client needs
  • Improve Android application performance and reduce bugs
  • Augment mobile team capacity by enabling other members to be optimally deployed

We’ll be focused on your growth with the company, and you’ll be:

  • At the forefront of deploying enterprise healthcare technology
  • Given opportunities to lead teams or become a subject matter expert

We’re looking for:

  • BS/MS in computer science or a similar field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of Android development experience
  • Experience developing application in Kotlin
  • Experience in dealing with a RESTful JSON API, SPA development, and 3rd party service APIs
  • Experience with Github, version control, APIs
  • Experience coding in high-compliance regulated environments (e.g. medtech, insurance, banking, etc.)
  • Experience in an Agile or SCRUM environment
  • Experience with an advanced design pattern (e.g. VIPER and MVI)
  • Track record of researching new tools and dependencies by 3rd party applications
  • Experience with UI
  • Experience of completing unit test and instrumental tests.
  • Experience writing tickets for QA (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)

Salary is commensurate with experience
